Parks Maintenance Superintendent

About the role

SAFEbuilt is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Building Official. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans and ensure they comply with local building codes and regulations.
• Inspect construction sites to ensure adherence to approved plans and safety standards.
• Issue permits and maintain records of all issued permits.
• Conduct inspections of existing buildings to ensure compliance with current codes and regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and training to contractors and other stakeholders.
• Respond to complaints and inquiries related to building code compliance.
• Keep abreast of changes in building codes and regulations and implement them as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in building inspection or related field.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Experience with computer software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 - $75,000 annually.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
