Parks and Recreation Aide 6 - Harriman Group Camps (Field Carpenter Crew)

Duties

Under the direction of The Maintenance Supervisor 1, SG-14 with the Harriman Group Camps Field Carpenter Crew, the selected candidate’s duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Assist in repairing historic wooden structures using various hand and power tools.
• Perform proper tree care operations including tree removal and pruning, from aerial lifts and the ground.
• Clean up of work site before, during, and after construction projects.
• Assist in snow removal, shoveling snow, and operation of vehicles used to plow snow during the winter months.
• Assist in performing a wide variety of carpentry work, roofing, plumbing repairs, minor electrical work, and dock work.
• Assist other areas of park maintenance and operations as needed.
• Work effectively in a team setting and demonstrate flexibility in tasks.
• Adhere to the agency’s Code of Conduct Policy and ensure compliance with all guidelines, policies, and procedures in the performance of daily tasks.

There are no minimum qualifications for this title per Civil Service.
