About the role
Parks & Grounds Technician I positions are responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance and functionality of parks and grounds within the city. This includes mowing, trimming, planting, and caring for various types of plants and trees.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the appearance and functionality of parks and grounds
- Mow lawns, trim hedges, and cut grass
- Care for and plant various types of plants and trees
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of park areas
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and climbing
- Knowledge of basic landscaping practices and equipment operation
Qualifications
- Experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
