Parking Meter Service Worker

Pay

$20.91 – $23.25 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, adjust and replace parking meters and associated appurtenances, both in the shop and on the streets.
• Develop work schedules, prepare work orders, and tabulate parking survey data.
• Install and erect required parking signs and mark designated parking meter spaces.
• Operate light trucks/vehicles and collect parking meter revenue boxes along assigned collection routes.
• Perform related duties connected to parking meter installation, maintenance and operations as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of full-time paid experience in repairing and maintaining mechanical and/or electronic devices.
• Knowledge of mechanical repair and basic tool operation.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and walk up to two miles per day.
• Ability to write legibly, maintain service records, and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Knowledge of parking meter construction, design, and repair is desired.
• Knowledge of parking meter operations is preferred.
• Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License required.
