Responsibilities
- Direct vehicles into designated parking areas safely and efficiently.
- Collect payment for parking, via cash or card reader.
- Welcome guests and provide directions to entrances and parking locations.
- Aid with traffic control before, during, and after events.
- Maintain safety in parking lots by monitoring and reporting hazards or incidents.
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors and event staff via radio.
- Set up and remove traffic cones, barricades, and parking signage.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to guest questions and concerns professionally.
- Aid in maintaining a clean and organized parking area.
- Follow all Alerus Center safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up heavy objects as needed for traffic control equipment such as cones, barricades, and signage.
- Ability to maintain situational awareness and safely direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
