Parking Lot Attendant | Part-Time | Alerus Center

Responsibilities

  • Direct vehicles into designated parking areas safely and efficiently.
  • Collect payment for parking, via cash or card reader.
  • Welcome guests and provide directions to entrances and parking locations.
  • Aid with traffic control before, during, and after events.
  • Maintain safety in parking lots by monitoring and reporting hazards or incidents.
  • Maintain clear communication with supervisors and event staff via radio.
  • Set up and remove traffic cones, barricades, and parking signage.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to guest questions and concerns professionally.
  • Aid in maintaining a clean and organized parking area.
  • Follow all Alerus Center safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up heavy objects as needed for traffic control equipment such as cones, barricades, and signage.
  • Ability to maintain situational awareness and safely direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
