Parking Enforcement Supervisor
About the role
Assist Campus Services Manager in supervision and training student enforcement staff, parking events management, and assisting with parking enforcement. Parking is an around the clock operation that requires close monitoring and training of student staff and coordination of staffing and resources for special event parking. Must be able to work nights and one weekend shift.
Responsibilities
- Student staff development to include assisting with hiring, schedule coordinating, training, and coaching.
- Ensuring a strong experienced staff for the academic year.
- Ensuring parking vehicles are monitored for damage, cleanliness, and necessary maintenance.
- Reviewing and approving student enforcement timecards.
- Patrolling campus for parking violations and taking necessary enforcement action.
- Enforcing permits, meters, and other violations and issuing citations.
- Developing and maintaining a full understanding of University of New Hampshire parking regulations.
- Being familiar with contemporary parking issues and concerns.
- Responding to complaint calls and enforcing the winter parking ban, when applicable.
- Aiding in the coordination of staff and resources for special events on campus related to parking.
- Assisting with the coordination of staff and resources for special events on campus related to parking.
- Assisting Facilities Maintenance Coordinator with parking signage, lot, and meter maintenance.
- Responsible for productivity and performance reporting on all enforcement staff and assessing and carrying out corrective action for student enforcement, in conjunction with the Campus Services manager.
- Reviewing citation revenue budget projections, and assisting in determining benchmarks, and operational strategy for parking enforcement.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Two years of supervisory experience.
- Strong interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and self-prioritize.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office software package (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Employment experience related to parking.
- Experience in a college/university environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum education requirement: Bachelor's degree.
- Additional certifications or licenses may be required.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of university parking regulations and policies.
- Ability to enforce rules and regulations effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $17.57 - $28.96 per hour. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
Schedule
This position requires evening and weekend shifts.
