Parking Attendant - Parking and Transportation

About the role

Manages parking and collects payment for vehicles parked in a designated area.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM. This is an outdoor position.

Responsibilities

• Assist public within the parking areas, providing information and directions.
• Collect parking fees from customers.
• Instruct on the usage of the pay-on-foot stations and pay-in-lane stations.
• Operate and maintain parking equipment and gates.
• Provide coverage of lots, garages, and cashier booths.
• Clean and stock parking areas.
• Obtain cash from and place cash in department vault.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Customer service experience, required.

Physical Requirements

Occasionally: Bend/twist, climb stairs/ladder, decision making, lifting/carrying 0–10 lbs, lifting/carrying 11–20 lbs, problem solving, sitting, squat/kneel, walking.

Continuously: Audible speech, color vision, computer skills, hand use (grasping, gripping, turning), hearing acuity, interpreting data, peripheral vision, repetitive hand/arm use, seeing (far/near), standing.
