About the role

The Arcadia Family of Companies is a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing senior living excellence. This position plays a crucial role in safeguarding residents, employees, and visitors at Arcadia.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt and courteous services for residents and guests.
• Patrols assigned areas to provide security and monitor parking areas to ensure compliance with parking rules and safety.
• Maintains knowledge of and ability to recognize individuals who have been banned from the property or who have supervised visits prearranged with residents and/or Management; handles these individuals following established policies and procedures.
• Maintains awareness of residents who are in danger of eloping; effectively responds to resident elopement according to established policies and procedures.
• Safeguards company vehicles, checking doors and windows for security; locks doors and turns out lights.
• Performs routine inspections of company vehicles, reporting discrepancies as needed.
• Expedites traffic flow during events.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Required to successfully complete 8 hours of classroom training provided by a Board of Private Detectives and Guards approved instructor using Board approved curricula, pass the required test, complete 4 hours of on the job training and possess a current DCCA Registered Guard Employee status.
• One year of related security experience and/or training.
• Current driver’s license required.
• DCCA Registered Guard Employee required.
