Salary range: $26.19 - $36.37 per hour. Starting hourly rate is $26.19.

About the role

This opportunity is for the County Grounds Service Center. Work area is primarily the Government Center and Expo Center grounds. On call for snow/ice control, 24/7 with earlier starts and weekends as needed. Core workdays/hours are Mondays through Fridays, 5 am - 1 pm. Days and hours can vary based on weather and workload. Compensatory time and overtime may be available pending budget.

This position requires possession of a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License from the State of Wisconsin within 12 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

  • Perform park maintenance work at the County Grounds Service Center and Natural Land Management areas
  • Operate equipment requiring a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (must obtain within 12 months of hire)

Requirements

  • High school graduation or GED equivalent
  • Previous experience in park maintenance work is desirable
  • Possess the physical and mental abilities to perform essential job functions as listed in the Park Maintenance Worker ADA Essential Functions Worksheet
