Hiring Agency Tourism, Arts, & Heritage Cabinet | Kentucky Department of Parks Location 542 Kenlake Road Hardin, KY 42048 USA Description Kenlake State Park is located on beautiful Kentucky Lake and is the gateway to Land Between the Lakes, the premier outdoor recreation area in Western Kentucky. As a Park Desk Clerk Supervisor, you will fill a key leadership role at Kenlake State Park. You will coordinate the activities of Park Desk Clerks and Night Auditors to ensure high-quality guest service. Your experience and expertise will focus on maximizing profits, developing and retaining employees and exceeding guest expectations. This position reports directly to the management staff at Kenlake State Resort Park. The Ideal Candidate Will Have experience in direct Hotel and high-volume customer service. Be incredibly friendly, customer centric, love to smile and have knowledge of the local area. Have strong computer skills and preferred experience with property management or point of sale systems. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To Manage and control the overall front desk guest experience to include registration, creative guest problem resolution, correct billing and cordial appreciation upon departure. Motivate staff within Front Desk department and work to help establish a productive working environment for Park. Assist in conducting training classes regarding safety, security, department procedures and service guidelines. Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily. Monitor rate efficiency, monitor guest credit report and maintain close observation of daily house count. Supervise the Night Audit function and monitor and assist in providing the necessary reports to other departments for guest arrivals, departures and needs. Schedule Park Desk Clerks and any other staff temporarily assigned to the Front Desk. Conduct performance reviews, training and development of staff to achieve Park’s service quality standards. Assist and/or lead revenue management with the implementation and execution of programs to ensure the Park’s room occupancy and Average Daily Rate objectives are met. Analyze and generate guest issues, billing, and daily reports, and communicate information to front desk employees as well as members of other appropriate departments. May assist in assembling daily financial data while assisting in interpreting this data for financial and operational plans for the accommodations revenues to include in the annual park budget. Maintain procedures for security of monies, guest security and emergency procedures. Respond quickly to guest requests or complaints in a courteous and friendly manner, and ensure appropriate actions are taken. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction. Use creative reasoning to overcome guest objections and concerns and to ensure 100% satisfaction. Provide a professional image at all times through appearance and dress. . Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: High school graduate. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Two years of experience in the front desk operation of a lodging facility. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for work experience on a year-for-year basis.
