Parent Relations Director, Alpha - $200,000/year USD

About the Role

Alpha School is seeking a Parent Relations Director to build trust with families, lead hard conversations, and foster a committed community. You'll be the parent-facing co-leader, working alongside Guides to support students and families. This role requires owning relationships, making real-time decisions, and contributing to campus growth.

Responsibilities

• Own relationships with every family on campus, leading hard conversations and resolving concerns.
• Operate as the parent-facing co-leader alongside Guides, aligning on sensitive conversations and protecting their coaching relationships.
• Make real-time calls in ambiguous student and family situations, escalating high-risk matters when necessary.
• Build campus community through traditions, parent networks, and local partnerships.
• Contribute to campus growth, whether through admissions follow-through at launch campuses or retention and referrals at mature campuses.

Requirements

• Live within commuting distance of one of the following campuses or relocate within 60 days: Boca Raton, FL; Burlington, VT; Jackson Hole, WY; Lake Travis, TX; Las Vegas, NV; Palm Beach, FL; Park City, UT; Tulsa, OK.
• 5+ years of experience owning high-trust relationships with families, clients, donors, or members, with a track record of changing retention or advocacy.
• Independent ownership of ambiguous relationship, community, or growth outcomes, with demonstrable results.
• Clear, concise communication that earns confidence quickly with affluent, high-expectation families.
• Familiarity with independent, private, or non-traditional education and hands-on daily use of AI tools.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Willing to work on-site full-time, including early mornings, late afternoons, evening events 2–3x/month, and occasional weekends.

• Established local network in the campus city.
• Private or independent school experience with a track record of family retention and community depth.
• Experience as the relationship owner alongside educators or other professionals.
• Launch or early-stage assignment experience building local demand and seeing it through to committed families.
• Instinct for creating experiences that foster a sense of belonging.
• Startup or early-stage experience building from nothing and adapting to change.

Pay

$200,000 per year for most campuses, $250,000 per year for Park City, UT.
