About the role
This position provides one-on-one and group services to parents or guardians of children with severe emotional disturbance (SED), substance use disorder, or co-occurring mental health diagnoses.
Responsibilities
- Provide modeling to assist with stabilization of a child and family.
- Utilize lived experience to support families.
- Maintain professional boundaries.
- Build and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships.
- Possess basic computer skills.
- Learn documentation in an electronic medical record.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Lived experience raising a child with SED, substance use disorder, or co-occurring mental health diagnosis.
- Understanding of professional boundaries.
- Ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative working relations.
- Reliability.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to learn documentation in an electronic medical record.
Qualifications
- Current Kansas drivers license and motor vehicle insurance for use of fleet vehicles.
Skills
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of child development and mental health issues.
