About the Role

Join Super Soccer Stars as a Soccer Coach for our Parent & Me program in Santa Monica, teaching young children alongside their parents in a fun and engaging environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic coach to lead our "Soccer Parent & Me" classes designed for toddlers (ages 18 months to 3 years) and their parents. This program introduces the fundamentals of soccer through age-appropriate games and activities, encouraging motor skill development, socialization, and bonding between parents and children.

Our ideal candidate has prior experience working with children (as a teacher, nanny, daycare, youth leader, or camp leader) and genuinely loves children. We offer training on the job, a flexible schedule, and incentive programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging, high-energy sessions for toddlers and their parents or caregivers
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants
  • Demonstrate basic soccer skills in a playful and age-appropriate manner
  • Provide guidance and encouragement to parents on how to support their child's learning
  • Set up and take down equipment before and after sessions
  • Communicate with parents and caregivers in a friendly and professional way
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants at all times
  • Maintain a fun and patient attitude while working with young children
  • Embody an active lifestyle and act as an ambassador for our company and its values
  • Keep toddlers engaged and know how to have fun

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma with some college (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (may work at multiple locations in a day)
  • Ability to run, bend, lift, and engage in physical activity with toddlers for extended periods
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Experience working with toddlers or young children (coaching, teaching, babysitting, etc.)
  • Friendly, outgoing, and energetic personality
  • Knowledge of soccer fundamentals is a plus but not required
  • Ability to lead groups and engage both parents and children
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Background check required

Required soft skills and professional traits:

  • High energy and a personality that kids love to be around
  • Physically active, punctual, and organized
  • Ability to work independently with kids ranging from 18 months to 12 years old
  • Demonstrates integrity and a positive attitude
  • Willingness to be silly and patient

Schedule

The ideal candidate would be available most Monday-Saturday mornings and/or afternoons. Classes are held at schools, daycares, pre-schools, parks, and recreational centers across Los Angeles. Depending on your primary residence, you may be required to travel up to an hour to reach a class location.

Pay

Coaches can work up to 10-15 hours a week and earn very competitive pay ranging from $18 per hour up to $25 per hour.
