Parent Educator - Spanish Speaking

About the role

JRI’s Parents As Teachers (PAT) program seeks a dedicated Parent Educator to work with parents from prenatal to kindergarten age. The role involves delivering a structured curriculum that emphasizes parent-child interaction, development-centered parenting, and family well-being.

Responsibilities

• Empower parents through education and resources to foster healthy family dynamics and support child development.
• Participate in group support services.
• Serve as a role model and provide support and encouragement to parents and their families.
• Engage in community outreach to help families access services in their communities.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older.
• A minimum of an Associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field, or five years of relevant experience.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
• Active driver's license and daily access to a working, registered, insured vehicle.

Qualifications

• Experience in early childhood education or a daycare environment.
• Pass background and driving record checks.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with parents and families.
• Knowledge of early childhood development and parenting practices.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $21.00 to $23.00 per hour. The actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and qualifications.

Hours and schedule will be determined based on the needs of the program and the individual's availability.
