Paratransit Quality Control Specialist

About the role

The Utility Service / Fueling Associate plays a crucial part in ensuring para-transit vehicles are prepared for daily service. This role involves supporting yard operations, fuel island activities, vehicle inspections, and facility cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Opening the lot and checking para-transit parking areas to ensure timely vehicle dispatch
• Repositioning vehicles to maintain safe and efficient traffic flow
• Operating the fuel island and taking accurate fuel stick and meter readings
• Completing daily fuel inventory sheets and required fuel reports
• Monitoring fuel levels and notifying management when deliveries are needed
• Filling out fuel delivery forms and conducting pre- and post-delivery readings
• Checking and filling vehicle fluids and inspecting belts, tires, and vehicles for damage
• Reporting vehicle damage, tire issues, or maintenance concerns immediately
• Maintaining spill response supplies and assisting with spill containment procedures
• Cleaning vehicle interiors and exteriors to maintain a clean and professional fleet
• Performing light building and grounds maintenance
• Supporting additional operational needs as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Strong attendance and punctuality
• Professional communication skills
• Ability to work extended hours as needed, including weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Working in wet, cold, hot, or changing outdoor conditions
• Standing, bending, stooping, crouching, squatting, and kneeling while performing inspections and other duties
• Using full hearing, speech, and vision abilities
• Using hands and fingers for paperwork, equipment, and basic manual tasks
• Writing clear, legible reports
• Driving a company or personal vehicle for work-related purposes when required
