Paratransit Operator - Part-Time
We are looking for a Part-Time Driver to join our team in Laplace, LA at River Parish Transit Authority (RPTA).

Pay
$17.24 per hour

Responsibilities
- Execute flawless operations by following designated routes and schedules while adhering to safety protocols and traffic regulations.
- Provide exceptional care and assistance to passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues, and maintain cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
- Uphold company policies and procedures, including seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and compliance with regulatory mandates.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- 21 years or older
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Availability to work day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts as assigned
- Must obtain a Chauffeur's license within 30 days of employment
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical, if applicable (DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason)
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed
- Long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen
- Work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings
