Paratransit Driver with Z Endorsement

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to participants, their families, facilities, and the public.
• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Afford assistance to participants, including those using wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility devices, with safe boarding and exiting.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time using electronic systems.
• Maintain a clean, professional workspace, including vehicles and facilities.
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with passengers, families, facilities, and dispatch.
• Represent KQT with professionalism and integrity at all times.

Physical Demands

• Sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, push, pull, and reach for extended periods.
• Assist participants with mobility, including stair navigation and wheelchair support.
• Frequently lift and move up to 125 pounds.

Minimum Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• A valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Delaware employees require a Z endorsement, Maryland employees require PSC Certification.
• A current CPR certification.
• Covid Vaccination required for dedicated PACE Drivers.
• One year of related driving or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills (timekeeping and documentation are electronic).

Qualifications

• Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Pass a physical exam (DOT physical may be required).
• Pass a background check.
