About the role

The Paraprofessional Technician works collaboratively to deliver life-changing applied behavior analytic (ABA) services for pediatric patients diagnosed with developmental disabilities, pediatric feeding disorders, or other complex behavioral needs. They work directly under the guidance of our professional behavior analysts (BCBAs) and licensed psychologists.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting dedicated therapy sessions with patients using standard ABA procedures under the direct guidance of a BCBA.
  • Assisting with the development and deployment of crucial skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction programs.
  • Organizing, maintaining, and entering treatment data into spreadsheets to accurately graph and report progress.
  • Assisting in the training of parents, school personnel, and caregivers to ensure treatment continuity.
  • Preparing initial drafts of session materials, progress notes, and reporting behavioral observations in measurable terms.
  • Auxiliary Support: Assisting with clinical research activities and maintaining the overall organization and cleanliness of department materials.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in child development, psychology, or a related field is a plus!
  • A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Prior experience working with individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities or pediatric feeding disorders in an educational, instructional, or therapeutic setting is preferred.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $21.96 - $27.28 per hour.

Schedule

This role is part-time and works on a day shift.
