About the role

Responsibilities
- Support lead Teachers in delivering instruction by assisting with lesson activities, classroom management, and transitions.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce skills, reteach concepts, and support individualized learning plans.
- Aid in maintaining a safe, orderly, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and engagement.
- Substitute for lead teachers as needed to ensure learning continues uninterrupted.
- Prepare instructional materials, set up classroom resources, and assist with grading or documentation as directed.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of students.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and successful completion of the paraprofessional exam, OR Associate’s degree (or higher).
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or youth-focused setting.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

$15.50 to $17 per hour, DOE
