Paraprofessional - Special Education (Preschool)

Work days: Monday–Friday, 6.75 hours/day, 189 days per year (new-hire days are pro-rated to date of hire). Union: OAPSE 120 / Special Education Paraprofessionals. Reports to: Building Administrator(s) and/or Executive Director for the Office of Exceptional Children or designee.

Pay

$18.75 per hour

Requirements

• Must be a highly-qualified paraprofessional under the provisions of ESSA and ORC 3319.074 by evidencing one of the following:
  • Associate of Arts Degree or higher (official transcripts required); OR
  • Two years of college totaling 48 or more semester hours (official transcripts required); OR
  • Passing score of 456 or higher on the ParaPro Assessment (copy of ParaPro Assessment results).
• Must have or be able to obtain an Educational Aid Permit through the Ohio Department of Education.
