Paraprofessional, Special Education (LSS)

Responsibilities

• Offer academic and behavioral support
• Aid in the physical needs of students
• Escort students to and from activities
• Reinforce classroom instruction under teacher’s supervision
• Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Maintain confidentiality and promote student engagement

Salary & Benefits

Paraprofessional Salary: $16.00 per hour
Schedule: 195 days per year, 30 hours per week

Employees are subject to the co-payment of health care costs.

Education

• Earned at least 60 college credit hours
• Obtained an associate's degree (or higher)
• Passed ETS Paraprofessional Assessment with a score of 460 or higher
• Scored at least 480 on evidence based reading/writing and at least 530 on math on College Board's SAT
