Paraprofessional - Ringwood School Primary Center

Reports to Ringwood School Primary Center under the daily supervision of the Building Principal, Assistant Principal, and/or Director of Student Services.

Schedule

• Educational Year: on school days when students are present
• 7.0 hours per day
• 2 personal days
• 11 sick days

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional License
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Respect confidentiality
• Must be able to use tact and diplomacy in human relations

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction and helping of individual students with special needs, or in small groups, as needed
• Assist and support teachers to organize learning experiences for student(s)
• Supervision of students during lunch, hallway, and bathroom time
• Under teacher direction and guidance, assist in assessing student needs and progress
• Attend meetings as scheduled
• Attend offerings for professional growth
• Adhere to the district's expectations with regards to attendance and punctuality
• Promote a positive relationship with students, staff, and community
• Help maintain an attractive and inviting classroom environment
• Perform any task or responsibilities which may be directed by the Teacher, Building Principal, or Student Services Director
