Paraprofessional (Kindergarten DDK) - Crosswell Drive Elementary

Qualifications: Associate’s degree or higher; completion of 60 credit hours toward a degree at an accredited institution; or a passing score on the Praxis Para Pro exam or equivalent assessment. Three years of experience in an elementary school setting is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee a positive learning environment under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Assist the teacher in implementing daily learning experiences aligned with approved grade-level practices and the district’s instructional mission.
• Collaborate with the teacher on curricular planning, classroom environment, and instructional practices.
• Provide unique and/or special accommodations required for students.
• Help promote a safe, secure, and healthy learning environment.
• Work cooperatively and respectfully with others.
• Provide individualized instruction and small-group support in reading and mathematics for students experiencing difficulty.
• Plan instructional activities tailored to students’ individual needs, interests, and abilities in reading and mathematics.
• Advise teachers on students’ progress throughout intervention.
• Retrieve and assist in analyzing student performance data to evaluate intervention effectiveness and determine progress.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Pay

Based upon credentials and experience in accordance with the district-approved pay schedule.

Schedule

185 days per year.
