About the role

Under the direction of the assigned administrator and under the general supervision of teacher and/or other certificated employee, provides instructional/behavioral support to students in accomplishing learning objectives. Works with students of all ages with severe behavioral, physical, language, or learning handicaps. Performs other related duties as assigned. Number of openings at the time of posting: One (1) or more.

Requirements / Qualifications

• High School Diploma (accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education) or equivalent.
• Forty‑eight (48) semester units or an Associate Degree or higher, or successful completion of the District’s paraprofessional proficiency test.
• Proof of AA or BA degree from a regionally accredited college, 48 semester units, or certificate showing successful completion of a basic paraprofessional proficiency test.
• If submitting college degrees or transcripts from outside the United States, a certified evaluation verifying equivalency must be attached.
• Pre‑employment requirements (at employee cost if hired): TB clearance, fingerprinting, letter(s) of recommendation, and paraprofessional testing proof.

Schedule

Available work shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. (includes a ½‑hour lunch).
