Paraprofessional II (SDC, Individual Services) - Sequoia School, 6 hrs./day (Full Benefits)

About the role

Under the direction of the assigned administrator and under the general supervision of teacher and/or other certificated employee, provides instructional/behavioral support to students in accomplishing learning objectives. Works with students of all ages with severe behavioral, physical, language, or learning handicaps. Performs other related duties as assigned.

• One (1) Letter of Recommendation with signature (also required for pre‑employment)
• One of the following:
  • Proof of AA or BA Degree from a regionally accredited college, 48 Semester units
  • Certificate showing successful completion of a basic Paraprofessional proficiency test
• Education Requirement:
  • High School Diploma (accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education) or Equivalent
  • AND Forty‑eight (48) semester units or Associate Degree or higher or pass proficiency requirements established by the District
• Pre‑employment requirements (at employee cost if hired):
  • TB Clearance
  • Fingerprinting
  • Paraprofessional Testing (Proof of AA or BA Degree from a regionally accredited college, 48 Semester units OR Certificate showing successful completion of a basic Paraprofessional proficiency test. Candidates submitting College Degrees or Transcripts from outside of the United States must also attach a certified evaluation of the document(s) verifying equivalency.)
