Paraprofessional - Horace Mann - FT Essential Skills

About the role

This position is essential in providing support to teachers and students at Horace Mann Elementary. The paraprofessional will assist in classroom management, provide individualized attention to students, and support educational activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in managing the classroom environment
• Provide individualized attention to students as needed
• Support educational activities and lesson plans
• Assist with student behavior management
• Participate in professional development opportunities

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Indiana teaching license or ability to obtain within one year of employment
• Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Pass a background check and criminal history review
