Paraprofessional Day Treatment - Part Time

About the role

The therapeutic paraprofessional provides support for implementing an appropriate academic program aligned with district standards, assists with modifications permitted by individualized education plans, and helps with classroom instruction and behavioral management. The role is emotionally intensive, demanding a steady, calm, and consistent demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation of academic programs according to district standards.
• Support modifications allowed by individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Aid in classroom instruction and behavioral management.
• Process student behaviors routinely with the teacher and therapist to evaluate behaviors and develop/implement action plans.
• Allocate approximately 70% of time to therapeutic duties and 30% to academic duties.
