About the Role
Provide assistance to both students and teachers in implementing lesson plans. Work on an individual basis with students when necessary. Provide support within the educational setting.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two year or four-year degree preferred
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a job-related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Para Highly Qualified status according to current statute and union contract or able to obtain Highly Qualified status
- Highly Qualified status documentation
- Associate degree or higher
- Two years of full-time enrollment at an institution of higher education (minimum of 60 semester credits)
- Demonstrated proficiency through a formal state or local academic assessment at a prior school (e.g., Para Pro Test, PARA Assessment)
- Crisis prevention intervention (CPI) training
Pay
Union contract hourly range based on education, experience, and qualifications: $17.01 - $21.01 (2025-2026 school year rates; subject to change with new contract).
Schedule
6.5 – 8.0 hours per day.
