Paraprofessional

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe environment, including physical intervention as needed according to protocol.
• Candidates with CPI training preferred or willing to train.
• Work as a cooperating member of a team and effectively communicate with students, teachers, parents, and administration.
• Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate dependability.
• Willingness or experience working with young children with special needs.

Requirements

• Current and valid Paraprofessional License.
• 60 college credit hours or successful Work Keys test (or other ISBE requirement for obtaining Paraprofessional License).

Skills

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

Pay

$17.50 per hour starting rate.
