About the role

The role at Indy West Christian School is a Full-Time Paraprofessional position that supports teachers in creating a Christ-centered educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning support.
• Supervise and positively interact with students throughout the school day.
• Monitor students while teachers work with individuals or small groups.
• Support lunch, recess, and other supervisory duties.
• Provide coverage for before-school or after-school care programs.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in professional development.
• Uphold confidentiality and follow the Matthew 18 Principle in relationships.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience working with children preferred.

• Personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Support the school Statement of Faith and Lifestyle Statement.
• Active member of an evangelical church.
