Paraprofessional

About the role

We are hiring dedicated Special Education Paraprofessionals to support students in Hawaii DOE schools throughout Oahu. Placements are available across the island and are assigned based on school needs and proximity to your residence whenever possible.

Responsibilities

• Support students with special needs in classroom settings
• Aid in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and school staff
• Help implement individualized student support plans
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Experience working with children, education, caregiving, or behavioral support is preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills and a positive, patient attitude are essential
• The ability to pass required background checks and onboarding requirements is necessary

Salary Increase

Upon successful completion of the FREE Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training and certification, there will be a salary increase.
