Essential Functions
- Assists with washroom breaks
- Collects class work from students
- Communicates with supervising instructional staff and professional support personnel
- Implements behavioral plans designed by IEP team
- Intervenes in potential conflicts
- Maintains a safe and positive learning environment
- Performs general record keeping and clerical functions
- Provides verbal and/or written feedback of observations
- Remains with students at all times
- Reports problems directly to the supervising administrator
- Tutors students on assigned class work
Job Requirements
- Skills: Operating standard office equipment, calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios, understanding written procedures, writing routine documents, speaking clearly, solving practical problems
- Knowledge: Behavior and crisis management techniques, instruction techniques, high school curriculum, knowledge of board policy, district, state and federal regulations/laws

- Working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods
- Leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others
- Utilizing some resources from other work units
