PARAPROFESSIONAL, 1:1 SECONDARY SPECIAL EDUCATION - MILD / MODERATE - 6TH GRADE
About the role
The 1:1 Special Education Paraprofessional supports the educational, behavioral, social-emotional, physical and daily living needs of secondary students with disabilities in integrated, resource, self-contained, and community settings.

- Salary Range: New hires will be set at $22.824 per hour. The salary range for internal candidates is $22.824 to $27.275 per hour.

What You'll Do
- Provides services to one or more individual students as outlined in their Individual Education Plan (IEP), including supporting academic, health, daily living, and behavioral needs.
- Maintains classroom activities, assignments, and materials under the direction of the supervising teacher.
- Supports daily living procedures such as toileting, diapering, feeding, and personal hygiene.
- Lifts and transports students using appropriate equipment and technique according to District training.
- Implements student accommodations and modifications as outlined in their individual IEP.
- Communicates and coordinates with students and parents about routine educational issues.
What You’ll Need
- Specialized training in invasive procedures, such as tube feeding and catheterization will be provided, as assignment requires.
- Must pass District approved written and physical exams covering de-escalation and physical restraint training, on an annual basis.
- Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license or be able to obtain one within the state’s required time frame for new residents and meet the District’s insurability requirements.
