• Robbinsdale Hospital, established in 1954, is a 385-bed facility recognized as the top Level 1 Trauma center for 25 years and a Level II pediatric trauma center.
• Maple Grove Hospital, established in 2009, is a 134-bed facility recognized as a top hospital in the state for Women and Children Care, with a Level III NICU and the largest Family Birth Center in the state (5,000 deliveries per year and over 60,000 babies delivered).

Both hospitals have been named to the 2022 Fortune/Merative 100 Top Hospitals® list and the 2023 Women’s Choice Award Best Hospitals list.

About This Position

Provides advanced life support care to the sick and injured and safely transports customers of all ages to a medical facility. In addition, the paramedic assists with other services and events as directed by North Memorial Ambulance Service.

This position is eligible for a $4,500 sign-on bonus. Current or former team members employed by North Memorial Health, Maple Grove Health, or Blaze Health in the last six months are not eligible. Sign-on bonuses have a repayment commitment if the commitment is not fulfilled.

Requirements

Education

• Successfully completed paramedic training program from an accredited institution required.

Experience

• Previous ALS ambulance experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Demonstrated ability to organize, problem solve, make decisions during emergency situations, and work independently.
• Possess or quickly acquire knowledge of the street and highway system within the service area.

Licensure/Certification

• Wisconsin Paramedic Certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire date.
• American Heart Association ACLS and BLS Certification or American Red Cross ALS and BLS Certification upon hire or within 14 days.
• Valid State Class D driver's license in the state of residency with an acceptable driving record.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross PALS Certification.
• ICS-100, ICS-200, and ICS-700 certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire date.

Pay

Salary Range: $30.90 - $42.75 per hour, based on experience. Compensation may include shift differential pay depending on the position and shift worked. $4,500 sign-on bonus.
