Responsibilities
- Inspects and maintains equipment to ensure the safety of transport team members, patients, and the general public.
- Maintains and records patient conditions and treatments as appropriate.
- Educates patients and family members about patient illnesses and clinical interventions.
- Monitors and anticipates needs for additional equipment and secures tools to meet patient care demands during transport.
- Operates emergency vehicles safely in various weather and emergent conditions.
Requirements
- Ability to determine the nature of patient conditions and assess whether patients have pre-existing medical conditions.
- Ability to identify and treat life-threatening conditions within the paramedic's field of practice.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ambulance transport knowledge (preferred).
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a field of study (not specified).
- 1+ years patient care experience.
Skills
- Licensed Paramedic (PARA).
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS).
- Driver's License (DL).
- Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
- Commercial Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) or Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC).
- Critical Care Paramedic - Certified (CCP-C) (preferred).
