Responsibilities

  • Inspects and maintains equipment to ensure the safety of transport team members, patients, and the general public.
  • Maintains and records patient conditions and treatments as appropriate.
  • Educates patients and family members about patient illnesses and clinical interventions.
  • Monitors and anticipates needs for additional equipment and secures tools to meet patient care demands during transport.
  • Operates emergency vehicles safely in various weather and emergent conditions.

Requirements

  • Ability to determine the nature of patient conditions and assess whether patients have pre-existing medical conditions.
  • Ability to identify and treat life-threatening conditions within the paramedic's field of practice.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ambulance transport knowledge (preferred).

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a field of study (not specified).
  • 1+ years patient care experience.

Skills

  • Licensed Paramedic (PARA).
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS).
  • Driver's License (DL).
  • Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
  • Commercial Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) or Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC).
  • Critical Care Paramedic - Certified (CCP-C) (preferred).

  • $21.56 - $40.09.
