About the role
The Paramedic Instructor position at Antelope Valley College is responsible for teaching paramedic courses to students.
Responsibilities
- Teach paramedic courses in accordance with the curriculum and program goals.
- Develop and maintain course materials, including lectures, labs, and assessments.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback through regular evaluations.
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.
- Maintain current knowledge of paramedic practices and standards.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Master's degree in Emergency Medical Services or related field.
- Current California Paramedic License.
- Experience teaching paramedic courses at the college level.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
