Paramedic I
This is a temporary position for the Texas Renaissance Festival 2026 (September 21st – November 29th).
About the role
As a Paramedic, you will provide advanced emergency medical care and transport to critically ill or injured patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings. You will rapidly assess scenes, evaluate conditions, and administer life-saving interventions, while safely operating emergency vehicles and documenting care. Success requires expert clinical skills, exceptional critical thinking under stress, and compassionate communication to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure personal, crew, patient, and bystander safety through continuous scene size-up; emergency scenes are dynamic events.
- Perform patient assessment on every patient encountered, providing appropriate treatment and transportation decisions within the paramedic scope of practice.
- Deliver advanced life support (ALS) transports.
- Establish peripheral IV access.
- Place gastric tubes.
- Perform EZ IO procedures.
Requirements
- High School GED/Diploma
- Valid Texas Driver’s License (upon hire)
- Texas Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic certification (upon hire)
- Basic Life Support (CPR) certification (within 14 days of hire)

Pay
$21.85 – $30.87 per hour
