About the role
The Lake Havasu City Fire Department (LHCFD) is seeking passionate and driven individuals for a Paramedic/Firefighter Apprenticeship. This opportunity provides hands-on training and experience in emergency response, allowing you to learn from seasoned professionals while making a meaningful impact in the community.
Responsibilities
- Participate in hands-on and classroom training to develop critical firefighting and emergency medical skills.
- Assist in emergency response calls under the supervision of experienced professionals.
- Engage in daily shift activities, including training, community risk reduction initiatives, and emergency preparedness exercises.
- Represent LHCFD at community events such as school presentations and gatherings.
- Support the Fire Department in various capacities and tackle challenges as they arise.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older.
- Resident of Mohave County.
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Currently enrolled in an EMT-B program or certified as an EMT-B.
- Physically and mentally fit to handle the demands of the job.
- Eagerness to learn and work as part of a team.

Pay
Trainee pay rate: $18.00 per hour (contract/hourly).
Schedule
