Qualifications
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Current certification/licensure as a Paramedic per state requirements
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a field paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital
- Ability to routinely multi-task in a busy, stressful, fast-paced environment and take appropriate action
- Current certification/licensure as a Paramedic or EMTA (Emergency Medical Technician Advanced) per state requirements

About the Role

- Establish IV access as delegated by a RN
- Provide assistance with patient care, transportation of patients, specimens and supplies
- Clean and stock the department, patient rooms and transport ambulance
- Support nursing personnel in providing care to patients and assists with providing a safe, quiet, clean, organized environment for healthcare delivery
- Answer telephone and intercom efficiently and courteously, relaying messages and calls to appropriate personnel and other departments as needed
- Maintain records, transcribe physician orders, and assure orders are carried out in an expeditious manner
