The hospital is a non-profit, 331-bed full-service facility serving Clayton County and the southern crescent metro Atlanta communities. Services include Senior Care, Senior Behavioral Health, Emergency Services, Heart and Vascular, Advanced Imaging, Laboratory, Neuroscience, Rehabilitation, Sleep Diagnostic Center, Surgery/Robotic Surgery, Wound Care, and Women’s Health Services (including a Level III NICU). The hospital is certified as a Chest Pain Center and Primary Stroke Center.
Responsibilities
- Directly accountable for patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Communicate with physicians about changes in patient clinical condition, including diagnostic study results and symptomatology.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and treatment response.
- Knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting requirements for child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies.
- Trained in emergency medicine care per Georgia Composite State Board standards.
- Perform advanced life support procedures and other tasks as directed by licensed physicians and registered nurses.
- Conduct paraprofessional tasks in basic and advanced life support as part of an emergency medical team.
- Assigned to all areas of the Emergency Department.
Requirements
- Current and valid paramedic license issued by the Georgia Composite State Board.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
- PALS and/or ENPC certification recommended.
Schedule
Full Time, Day Shift.
