Job Summary / Purpose
Under the supervision and direction of a licensed health care practitioner, the Clinic - Paramedic participates in delivery of patient care that promotes the well-being and safety of all patients and staff.
Essential Functions
- Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
- Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by completing intake duties such as obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reason for visit.
- Cleans and sterilizes instruments.
- Ensures patient exam rooms are stocked, clean, and orderly.
- Escalates non-routine issues, questions, and/or concerns timely and appropriately.
- Ensures safety checklists and quality controls are completed as required and necessary action taken if indicated.
Education and Experience
- High School Graduate General Studies upon hire Required or
- High School GED General Studies upon hire Required and
- State-approved Paramedic training program graduate upon hire Required
Licensure and Certifications
- Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic: IA (EMT-P:IA) Yes upon hire Required and
- Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) N/A upon hire Required
