Responsibilities
- The Paramedic (EMT-P)'s primary responsibility is to provide initial medical contact in the triage area of the Emergency Department.
- This includes maintaining a safe environment and providing compassionate care to patients and family members.
- The EMT-P will collect blood samples and/or obtain IV access only at the request of the triage RN or the ED team leader.
