Paramedic

Location: Southern Regional Medical Center – Riverdale, GA

Employment Type: Full Time, Day Shifts (12-hour shifts), Per Diem/PD/PRN (as needed)

About the Role

We are seeking a Paramedic (also referred to as Emergency Care Technician (ECT), Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech), or Emergency Room Technician (ER Tech)) to assist with clinical tasks under hospital protocols and supervision. This role involves using field skills to support emergency care, trauma response, and patient management in collaboration with nurses and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion, EKG acquisition, and continuous vital signs monitoring under supervision.
• Assist with airway management, oxygen therapy, suctioning, and support during advanced airway procedures and resuscitation efforts.
• Provide wound care, apply splints, assist with suturing, and respond as part of the team during medical emergencies.
• Support patient flow by transporting patients to diagnostic areas or inpatient units and assisting with room turnover and preparation.
• Maintain clinical readiness by stocking essential supplies and performing point-of-care testing as permitted by hospital policy.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and EMS personnel to support trauma care, high-acuity patient management, and transitions of care.

Requirements

• Current and valid paramedic license issued by the Georgia Composite State Board.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
• PALS and/or ENPC certification recommended.
