Paramedic

What You’ll Do

• Affords assessment of the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures.
• Administers initial treatment at emergency scenes and records patient’s vital signs.
• Initiates intravenous fluids for hydration and drug administration.
• Administers medications and drugs according to protocols and life-saving measures.
• Communicates with physicians and other medical personnel in person and by radio-telephone.
• Updates on treatment techniques, protocol changes, materials, and equipment.
• Prepares required reports and maintains activity records.
• Cleans assigned emergency vehicle, conducts safety inspections, requisitions and restocks supplies, materials, and equipment.
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accuracy and up-to-date records.

What You’ll Bring

• Afforded associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from an accredited Paramedic training program.
• Present Paramedic Certification as defined within the state in which work will be performed.
• Present ACLS certification.
• At least three years’ experience as an EMT-P with an ambulance/EMS service.

Saturday and Sunday, 7:00a - 7:00p.
