Paramedic
MaineHealth Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Farmington base serves all of Franklin County. Approximately 80% of calls are 911 emergencies, with the remaining 20% interfacility transfers (IFT). Most IFT services transport patients from the MaineHealth Franklin Campus to Maine Medical Center in Portland, though other facilities may also be destinations.
About the role
The Paramedic provides both basic and advanced life support during emergency pre-hospital care and interfacility transfers, following state and local protocols.
Requirements
- Completion of a Paramedic course
- Current applicable state license as a Paramedic
- Valid Driver’s License
- Current BLS certification
- PIFT Certification required within six months of start date
- For locations in New Hampshire: NH Paramedic License with a National Registry Paramedic License
Qualifications
- One year of relevant experience preferred
Pay
The pay range for this position is $25.24 to $34.16 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is prorated based on scheduled hours and full-time equivalent (FTE). In addition to base pay, MaineHealth offers shift differentials or other incentives where applicable.
