About the role

Willis Knighton is seeking a National Registry EMT - Paramedic who attends ALS and BLS patients transported by the Willis Knighton Ambulance service.

Responsibilities

• ambulance inspection for cleanliness and proper equipment and medical supplies
• ordering supplies through the Assistant Director and maintaining ready response vehicles for patient transport
• monthly inspections of ALS equipment and medicine bags for current supply levels and expiration dates
• patient chart audits and signed PCS forms will require monthly inspections
• work cooperatively with other transport team members
• demonstrate good public relations skills in dealing with physicians, nurses, hospitals, and referral agencies
• maintain professional behavior and represent Willis Knighton in a positive manner

Requirements

• at least one year of experience in patient care
• current Louisiana chauffeur's driver's license

Qualifications

• ACLS, PALS, and BLS active certifications
• ability to obtain an appropriate Louisiana license for your certification level
