About the role
As a Paralegal on the Subpoena Response Team, you will review, research, and prepare responses to third-party legal requests, including subpoenas, investigative demands, and related inquiries. You will work closely with in-house counsel, external counsel, and business partners to administer requests, maintain matter records, and support timely, accurate responses that protect legal and business interests.
Responsibilities
- Review subpoenas, investigative demands, information requests, and related legal documents to identify response requirements, deadlines, and relevant business contacts
- Prepare and send responses to third-party legal requests in coordination with in-house counsel, external counsel, and internal stakeholders
- Record, process, and monitor incoming requests, filings, and orders using matter management systems and shared repositories
- Respond to status inquiries and escalations from issuing parties and internal teams with accurate updates and next steps
- Research related matters, supporting records, and available resources to help determine response scope and required documentation
- Maintain electronic case management tools, shared file rooms, and databases to support tracking, reporting, and retrieval of legal matter information
- Support program administration, reporting, special projects, and process improvement activities related to third-party response operations
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in paralegal, legal operations, or legal analyst work supporting subpoena response, investigative demands, records requests, or similar third-party legal matters
- Experience reviewing legal documents, tracking deadlines, and coordinating document collection and responses in a regulated business environment
- Experience using matter management systems, document repositories, and database tools for legal matter tracking, file management, and reporting
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Legal Studies, Business, Criminal Justice, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience
Qualifications
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal operations credential
- Experience preparing written correspondence and legal response materials with accuracy, organization, and attention to deadlines
- Experience supporting third-party response programs in financial services, payments, or consumer data environments
- Experience working with in-house counsel and external counsel on subpoena or investigative response matters
Skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in legal research and document preparation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
