About the role

The position will provide support to attorneys assigned to the following units: Violent Crimes, Special Investigations, Special Victims, Domestic Violence, Juvenile, and line attorneys with assigned jury trials.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation
  • Draft pleadings
  • Manage/update the case management database
  • Assist with other administrative duties as needed

Requirements

  • Five years of related experience
  • Organized and thorough with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Prior experience in Criminal Law preferred
  • Understanding of the sensitive nature of violent crimes

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Paralegal Certification preferred

Skills

  • Experience with the Virginia Courts System
  • Experience with case management software (OCRA, JSVG, CMS, Prosecutor by Karpel)
  • Bilingual fluency in one or more languages (English and another language)

Pay

$65,000.00 to $69,000.00

Schedule

Full-time and part-time employees are eligible to participate in the plans; however, the level and cost of benefits depend on the classification of the position.
