Ballard Spahr, a nationally recognized law firm with over 750 lawyers, is seeking a high-performing and detail-oriented individual to join their Real Estate Department. This hybrid position offers a work schedule of 3 days a week in either Seattle or Portland.

Your Role
As a Paralegal within the Real Estate Team, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive checklists for large-scale real estate transactions
- Meticulously tracking all associated documents
- Managing diligence processes and facilitating transaction coordination
- Collaborating with teams to ensure successful transaction closures
- Preparing closing indices, binders, and following up on post-closing matters
- Reviewing survey and title commitments and addressing comments from counterparties
- Collaborating with title companies to finalize title policies and coordinate document recordation
- Preparing signature page packets and managing the closing process among various stakeholders
- Monitoring transaction tasks and timelines, communicating progress and resolutions to the team
- Engaging with vendors and agencies to obtain necessary due certificates and searches
- Conducting research and gathering pertinent information using legal research tools and public databases
- Exploring industry databases and government resources to support transactions
- Adapting to other tasks as client needs evolve

Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience, preferably in a law firm setting
- Proven experience managing and tracking large document submissions or transactions
- Experience in commercial real estate or finance is strongly preferred
- Title and survey experience required
- Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills are essential with exceptional drafting and proofreading skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, document management systems, and time-keeping software
Pay and Benefits
The targeted salary range for this position is from $90,000 - $120,000, reflecting the firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will depend on several factors such as the candidate's experience and qualifications.
