Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from intake through resolution.
- Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files.
- Obtain, review, and summarize medical records, bills, and other case-related documentation.
- Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel.
- Monitor case deadlines and court calendars to ensure timely filings and compliance.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, mediation, depositions, and settlement conferences.
- Cook up filings with courts and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Conduct legal and factual research as needed.
- Provide exceptional client service by keeping clients informed throughout the legal process.
Qualifications
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal.
- Minimum: 1.5+ years of relevant Personal Injury Paralegal experience will be considered.
- Strong understanding of personal injury litigation procedures and legal documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Hightly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff.
- Preferred Skills: Experience handling plaintiff personal injury matters. Familiarity with court filing procedures and litigation timelines. Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities. Professional demeanor with excellent client relationship skills.
